what got me was the DIY Alembic F2B clone preamp pedal.
I know there are a few clones out there (based originally on the fender design) but I thought this was interesting...Logo and everything...

as crazy as i may sound, i like the pedal, if it was actually Alembic that would make it cooler but i like the way it looks, might just be me but oh well, thanks for the link

Sound - fenderovskie wedges!!!!

I've always thought that Alembic should make pedal versions of the preamps and superfilter, but figured it wasn't something they wanted to deal with. It would help get their name into minds of the younger pedal-driven generation.

a pedal format SF2/F2B/F1X direct from the mother ship would be outstanding
a BIG +1

And expensive...
Many younger musicians i've seen out shopping in music shops are looking for digital multi-effects pedals for their sound rather than pedals for tone improvement.

So I would doubt that sector of market would buy an expensive Alembic Pedal in enough quantity to support production.

But having an alembic tone driven overdrive pedal that works perfectly with their active guitars would be of interest to me.

i'm not a big fan of multi-effects pedals, i have a Zoom B2.1u that i use as a tuner and to boost my signal a little but i like having all of my pedals to dial in a more specific sound

Pretty cool little box, but the wiring is definitely not up to Alembic standards. I wonder if it's noisy.

Still, a nice job on the graphics and layout. A single channel would do it in a pedal form.

I agree Edwin; the wiring is a bit messy and in my opinion the power supply is too close the the signal path and is not isolated enough , so is it noisy?_____ maybe !

I ALSO do not think that it is very cool to label the enclosure as ALEMBIC.
, Just my opinion, Will it be very durable the way that it is laid out ?  Perhaps not because it will be subjected to more physical trauma in such a layout and application.

Just my 2 cents worth,  Sorry, but,  I am a naysayer on this one folks .LOL ______.

What's next, the power-amp-in-a-pedal?  All we'll need is pedals and speakers!

I would love to use something like this in front of my Bag End powered cab.
Specs if interested.

If I had one I would probably immediately spill a pint right into those vent holes on top... It would be a smokin' show!

Alembic preamps in pedal form would be very cool; the 80's have given me such an aversion to anything rack I'm hard pressed to even TRY any of it now...Tony
