That's Jan Riviere.
He WAS the bassplayer for a Belgian Cover band Mellow Yellow!
I heard them once and they were pretty amazing.
So was Jan!
So was Marylin! Naming the bass Marylin was more or less my idea!

Hey Paul, good to hear from you again, it's been a while. Hope you and bonnie are still making sweet music together.

Here is my Alembic Europa 5, seen on stage with me holding on for dear life. It's a photo from the gig I did last night with my jazz-funk band at a small Jazz club. Jazzyvee

It was a great night, we finished off the gig with a rendition of Marcus Millers version of Frankenstien.
It went down a treat.

Holding on for dear life, ha! I used to do that with an old drummer and his fluctuating meter/poor interpretation of time. I neede ice baths for my right hand  at the end of the night. Looks like you're having a blast though. Contact us if you come to our side of the pond

Kev, very cool!  You guys hop!  Just wondering, is Old #12 the oldest Alembic still working regularly?

I strongly Believe old#12 is the OLDEST alembic being played still & not retired.
