Here's what we are doing tonight - the hottest day of the year by Chicago.

Kool ! ,
I would check you guys out if I were there . I would be interested in sound links  . Soundcloud or Bandcamp or the such?

I knew Dana French back in 70's when he was playing with Deluxury.

I'm thinking Lukara is a Klingon name.

Yep Keith, that's the same Dana. I did a gig with him earlier this spring, and my guitarist Gary Belniak has been a friend of his for years.   Wolf, I recorded our set, but was forced to record out in the room vs at stage front. Result = icky / not publishable (although we did have someone record the show on multiple cameras with a soundboard feed, so that might show up on Youtube or elsewhere when we get the finished edit back).  Dave, actually our drummer Courtney IS a big Star Trek fan, so she might have nicked it from there, although we're tellling everyone it's a mythical musical multi-voiced beast (everybody sings except me).

Thanks , I will be watching for it .

So, no actual Klingons in the band.  I suppose it would be tough for a Klingon to find something to eat on the road in the Midwest.

I've heard there's good bithool gagh in Wisconsin, but the raktajino is weak.

Hi gang, I've been off the board for a while, but it's been a busy summer.

Lukara played at Barnstock in July again this year, along with The Nick Bell Band. I also played with 3 bands at the 7th annual Rock & Roll Rewind benefit in Dubuque, Iowa this last weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Now for an upcoming club gig:

Boy am I late to the party . . .
Mike congrats on the new gig.  You know what Chalie says "keep it low stay out of treble!"

This is so great, glad to hear of this Mike.  HB has a nice place, we played out there for Elga's memorial last year.

Keep up the good work!
The only thing that stays the same is change.

Nick Bell is great. He's done a lot of gigs with my buddy's ZZ Top tribute band. Really nails the Trower vibe.

Yep. His drummer Andy Szymanski is a dear friend of mine and played at the Alembic Club gathering back in 2009 in Chicago at the Bag End factory (lots of good bass gear!). We also worked together in "Pickled BEATS", "The Noah Gabriel Band", and some recordings with Chicagoland friends.

Hi gang, I had another great Rock & Roll Weekend at the start of August playing in Hampton Road (a 12 piece band with 5 horns) and Waterfall (6 piece band with the horns swapped out for a 2nd guitarist). Hampton Road is being inducted into the Iowa Roll and Roll Hall of Fame over Labor Day Weekend in Arnold's Park, Iowa. I will be playing my Epic as usual, doing a 25minute set at the Sunday evening concert for 2017 inductees. It's a weekend of events, and if anyone is near Lake Okoboji, stop out for some fine music!
