Here are a couple of shots of my gig last night. I had my Series II and Series I basses with me.

Great shots! What kind of strap do you have on your Stanley?

It's called Bass Tribal  that i got online from a small Greek company called Minotaur. I got the first one from when I got my series II and when my other bass straps needed replacing I've used this company. They are thick leather and well padded and comfortable

This is the specific one I have on the Shorty.

it is extremely comfortable Rusty, and the thing is, that on that bass the strap buttons have been moved previous to my ownership. The back button is moved to the upper half of the bass and the front button is moved about an inch closer to the headstock at the back of the neck.

What is interesting about this relocation is that the bass sits more vertical than my shorty signature bass which kind of leans slightly forward from the top edge. However this new location makes the reach to first position a bit further away and I have to slide the bass back towards my body to reach the D-string tuning peg.
I think though I will soon put schaller strap lock buttons in the original holes and try the standard locations.

I tend to play mine on my right hip VS directly in front of me. I think I'm subconsciously trying to keep it away from my belt buckle even though I always put my buckle on the left side when I play.

I have a gig tonight with musical youth at a music college in Birmingham. The event is also being filmed by ITV for airing in April this year in a documentary about the band. https://m.facebook.com/events/898043390292304?acontext=%7B%22ref%22%3A98%2C%22action_history%22%3A%22null%22%7D&aref=98&refid=17&__tn__=H
Its a free gig so if you live around the Birmingham/West midlands area feel free to come along and say hello.

Here is the venue address & web site. Though the site rarely gets updated so the gig is not listed.
