For info on the cab, go to www.bagend.com and look for the BASSAULT-R. Here's the direct link to the product sheet.

300 pounds of subby goodness.   Ah, the cab, not John. ;)

Pualdo had me laughing when he was smacking his fretless, his enjoyment was obvious. (Geez another disclainer needed for this too? I'm signing off.)

I just wanted to give a credit where credit is due..I heard a lot of  great Bass players in Chicago, but what touched me the most was seeing people playing from their heart and for the love and passion of their instrument and when they were playing someone elses, they played it with total respect for the instrument and for the owner along with the fact in knowing it was an Alembic.
There was pop's and chop's and Funk and soul, blues and Dead and never once did I see anyone person with the big head thinking that were better than someone else. All were humble with respect for the other, truly a fantastic event and my hat is off to everyone who attend and maintained the club spirit.
Now after you read this I want you to stand up and take a bow..you deserve it! thanks again for letting me a part of this ..peace to all John

I told Mica I was hoping the little one would knock my bass over and destroy it, so I could have a COTM..  She chuckled uncomfortably.  ;)

I agree, John, that it was so cool to have a room full of Alembics (and other fine hardware) to play, knowing that everyone in the place appreciated the opportunity and sense of community.  What a great bunch of people!

Wow!!!  I've just finished reading the post event posts (to this point) and I'm making my way through the pictures linked above.  I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all the comments; it sounds like a wonderful day!  I'm grinning ear to ear hearing everyone's experiences; and I loved the group photo of all the members!!

I juust finished cutting over four hours of stereo sounds from the ABC (Alembic BagEnd Chicago) jams into 37 tracks. As mp3s it would fit on one disc, as Audio CDs it needs four to make it.
Who in the club wants copies?
I'm going to bed

Mike...that is a very generous offer and obviously a  lot of work. I'd love one!

I just wanted everyone to know that I had a safe trip back. I am tired to the bones, but I also have and keep all these precious moments of the gathering in my heart... once again, thank you all for making this possible.

and to phrase an infamous Brother Paul statement:
I NEED STOCKINGS !

love to you all,
Christian

P.S.: I'm glad I've got the German keyboard again

keavin

I'd love a copy, Mike, even though it all probably sounds much like a WWII bombing run..  ;)
