I'm hoping to be there. Been a bad couple of years for me. But I'm close (driving distance)and my better half has been wanting to go to Chicago. Hmmmmm, this could be a done deal.

I am doing my best to move some things around and my schedule will be tight like a early morning flight up and early evening back same day due to prior commitments, but I am trying to see if I can work this Chicago date in. Now does anyone know if location is confirmed and how far is it from Chicago airport to the location.
I hope to see you all there, I am really trying to make this date to meet and talk with everyone.  John Judge

David Houck

The location is confirmed.
Information I've seen indicates that it's 27.3 miles and 42 minutes from O'Hare.

Thanks Dave for the info, I hope to see you there! John Judge

Being so close, me and my Spoiler can't miss this.

Thanks Olie and Keith,
I just did a Map Quest on it and it'll take me about 11 hrs to get there by car. The problem for me is I'm playing the 29th 7-10pm. I would have to literally pack my gear after the gig and get on the road there which leaves little time to sleep.
I'm not sure if my boss (wife)would like that idea. and I really want to bring my Distillate too and the thought of putting it on a plane (gulp) with the way airlines help treats personal things (dbl gulp!)Hmmm... what's a poor bassist like moi to do?!!! If my wife does not want to go maybe I'll get round trip tickets for two (1 seat for my bass).

Olie - Are you bringing that drop dead gorgeous Series I(?) pictured in your profile?

This should be alot of fun!

olieoliver

Unfortunately since I'm flying in I'll be without my guitars. Too big to carry on and I don't trust the baggage guys. But I will be there with bells on.

That's actually a S-2.

Anyone getting goosey pimpley yet ?
It will be interesting to see what compliment of instruments will be there..so far looks like a Distillate, Spoiler, Series I, Series II,  Further,Old #12,and an Excel. Will anyone be sporting a short scale ? Been wanting to check one out, but they're kinda hard to find in stores

Mica, will Bag End have some cabinets available for us to check out ?

Olie, what key will your bells be in ?

G

olieoliver

A minor! (I kind of like that A-Olie-an scale)
