After using a Stingray 5 for years in the studio I just started gigging in a band on bass since the band leader is as good a guitarist as me and I am now living in a isolated country area with limited decent bands and gigs. In the studio I was fine with the B string but live I get hyper vibed up and would occasionally go back into guitar mode an play the B string as if it was an E. You can't erase years of gigs lol.  
 
So since the band already tuned down to Eb I started looking for a good 4 string bass. Scored an Alembic Essence and man I am just in
