I waited 20 years to get one, and it was worth the wait! Body is flamed walnut, 1/4 maple separator laminate, and a mahogany back.

Clay Sharp (exploiterplayer)

What a beautiful book matched top! That is so cool how the figured wood changes to a lighter shade starting near the bridge and continues in a V pattern towards the neck. I dont think I'll ever see another one like that again. Totally incredible Dan.

Thought I'd update this post with a new pic!

hi dan

that's a very beautiful flamed walnut top, and the thick maple accent sets it off very nicely from the mahogany.  it's never late for congratulations, so, congratulations!  obviously it was worth the wait

what are the controls?

Marc, I've got an '81 Distillate. The controls are what is now called Europa controls: 4-way pickup selector (standby, bridge, both, neck); volume; filter; q switch; bass cut/normal/boost; and treble cut/normal/boost.
