I think you're right fc, I've been watching closely to the video and there's little doubt that it's the very same Alembic spoiler. Well done fc !

I got the bass today this morning. Great condition for a more than 20 year old bass. I got it from a nice guy from Paris who already owns two other fantastic Alembics (Essence & 5 str. Elan - simply beautiful !) and a couple of double basses. A real gentleman (as most Alembic owners ?); thank you J ;-)
I've played the bass on a small Ampeg amp this morning and the bass sounds really good, even though it's fitted with heavy gauge strange. I can't wait to play it with a 35s gauge string set !

I'm great thanks ! That's really a nice buy, I would have loved to buy a Spoiler with the original body shape when I was looking for it. I would have paid more just for the shape. Enjoy !!!
PS: I'm also converted to 35s strings  ( Hotwire )
