Hello from the Isle of Wight, England.

Don't know if many of you remember this bass or if Stoney is still haunting these message boards but back in August 2004, almost 6 years to the day, i took possession of Stoney's custom Essence...and what a bass.

Walnut core
Tulip wood top laminate
5 piece neck
Signature Electronics
Red side LED's.
MoP Neck Inlays
Purpleheart & Maple Laminates around the neck & body

Original thread.

Im still playing and recording with it and it still surprises me.  The main comment i get from other bass players is how much i can change the tone without touching the controls.  I have tried many basses over the years but this one could almost have been made for me.

Thanks Stoney....and no you can't have it back....well not just yet.

The other pics didn't do the wonderful Tulipwood justice so i will take some more later.

A few pics of Stoney in action..

Wow, how cool Dave.  Beautiful bass!  Thanks for sharing the pics and video.  Best, Art

A great example of a player bonded with their Alembic Bass!

jazzyvee

Great to have another Alembic owner from this side of the pond. Welcome to the club.

Really nice top.  Tulipwood, who'dve guessed.  Plus, I'm dreadfully jealous as I've always wanted to come for the TT !!  Congratulations.
