Hi friends, this year might be the most successful in my musical life, besides the collaboration with Gregor Meyle ( a meanwhile very succesful german singer/songwriter) and the collaboration on the upcoming album of Phil Gould i'm happy to pronounce, currently i'm recording the bass tracks for the next Kool & the Gang album. The bass i'm using is the lovely lady you can see on the attached picture. As i figured out, Kool (Robert Bell) was using an Alembic in the early years of his band too .

Kool indeed... and that cute knobby-headed four-strings makes up for a nice Gang... (Sorry, had to do it :P )

I'm curious as to why Mr Kool himself is not playing bass on the album?

I thought Mr Bell played Jaydee basses

I've always associated him with Zon basses

guess, i was wrong, thought, that bass is an alembic, but it?s not, which brand is that? It?s a nice looking instrument, very similar to the Alembic style...

It looks like an Oasis to me but I can't get a good look at the logo.

If I recall correctly, I remember him playing a ZON bass on the Live at the house of Blues video (Which, by the way, was a KILLER concert!, double horn and rhythm sections and all!)
