Not sure I'm ready to part with this bass yet, but I'm kinda thinking it's time for this bass to find a new owner.
#80-1504. Most of you know this bass. Trades I'd consider would be a Brown bass or a Wal MkII 5 string.

Very beautiful! Was the Kahler factory installed or done later?either way cool bass!

From what I've been told, the Kahler was installed by Valley Arts Guitar.
Scale length and width of neck at the nut and base for the fretboard?
There is the history request section. (http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=6258)
Beautiful contrasted top wood !

Ooh. Beautiful bass. Seems to have a lovely patina even via photo.
Bet she sounds like a million bux!
Thanks, Eiji.
It does sound like a million! The Kahler gives this bass a boat load of sustain, and the resonance of the strings is amazing. It's actually fairly loud unplugged. It's also pretty lightweight. I haven't officially weighed it yet, but it feels lighter than my 78 Pbass (9.5 lbs).
As for neck widths, it's the standard SII measurements:
Nut width 1.750
24th fret width 2.250
It does have red LEDs, BTW.
Thanks, Dan.
That's the bass from the consignment store in Texas, right?
Nope. Bought it from a store in CA a few years ago.
Maybe I'm confused. In any case, best of luck with the deal.
An S2 with a WIGGLE STICK ! ! Just when you think you've seen everything . . . . best of luck.
