Fancy bass! What I want to know is how you get your thumb to bend 90% at the first knuckle in the 2nd pic of the auction! That's amazing!

Oh....of course I would figure anyone could do that.  
 
Well, in order to not drop the bass, my thumb did what it had to do.

My left thumb flexes the same way, and not just when holding a bass awkwardly. :-)

Check out Jaco's thumb - it bends the opposite way.
