I want to sell my essence Alembic 4-string fretless Bass. A real collector's piece. Bought it new in 1998. SN:98K11856 USA. Mint- condition, barely played. Comes with Soft case.   if interested call me 408 828 2670 San Jose Ca.   see Pics

Nice bass!  I should have waited a little longer...I just bought an Epic and am having it converted to fretless by a master luthier.  Oh well.  Good luck!

Specs from Alembic: is a 1998 Essence with a Flame Koa top, mahogany body, ebony fretboard, brass hardware and bridge block; maple neck with walnut pinstripes.

Is this still available? And is it just me or is the tailpiece off center?

You should contact Alembic for the tailpiece, because I think you will be a happy man/woman(?) if this piece is right set: that will do a lot with tone.
