I am in a position where I need to sell my Essence. This bass truly looks like it has rarely been played even though it is 23 years old. The blue is a great color and the gold / brass is still in great condition.
Here is the information I received from Alembic:
op: Flame Maple
accent: Walnut pinstripe
body: Maple
neck: 3-piece Maple with 2 Walnut pinstripes
scale: 34" long
fingerboard: Ebony
inlays: none
pickups: MXY
controls: Essence (volume, pan, filter, mono output)
finish: Sapphire
originally made for: Steve's Quality Instrument, MA
birthday: September 22, 1993
Asking $2050 but I am willing to negiatiate on price.
Here is the link to the sale on Talkbass with many photos.

What's the nut size? 1.5"?
The nut is 1.625"....very comfortable neck. I am usually a jazz width guy and have no issues with this one.
I'm definitely looking for 1.5" nut... have the ultra thin Stanley neck and have gotten spoiled. Thanks.
Dropping my price to $1900 or best offer. Need to recoup some funds from another purchase.
That is a relly pretty bass, especially in blue.
Anyone interested - I can do $1800 shipped if I can get a quick sale.
Wish I had cash on hand. Beautiful bass!
