I've only seen one or two pieces of Coco Bolo with such striking zig-zag patterning in the grain. It's really special. and the bookmatch to center back:

The color is slightly intensified by the flash which I must use in the drying room.

Mica - thank you for uploading the progress photos. It's looking even better than I imagined. The zizags have come up very nicely for a very striking effect with the sealer coat now applied. Thank you. Paul
Almost forgot - thank you to all for the positive comments. I hope you al enjoy watching this take shape as much as I am. Paul - Hong Kong.
I am always amazed how the grain pops out once the finish hits it. I also think I see part of my bass on the left side in the second photo.

Awesome bookmatch to center: looks great along with the brass components!
I really like the way the wood grain revealed itself after carving along the bottom. Wicked looking top.
Thanks all for the positive comments. Looks like its ready and I pick it up this Friday. Can't wait to get my hands on it. It will be a proud moment. I will post a few shots when I get a chance.
Paul
Congratulations Paul!
Have a safe return trip home with your new prize.
