Hi Johan, Here's some of the progress on your custom bass:

You'll see some smears of silver shielding paint and glue, pencil and chalk marks too - these will all be removed as the bass moves along.
Now your bass is in the carving department and routed:

There's still more carving to complete before it heads into spray.
Wow, that sure is a beauty!

Am I the only one, ---but I just don't like the stinger bit in the omega cut.

Your Coco almost looks like chocolate flowing! Very very nice.

Johan, were you the Johan who was my fellow bass player in the St. Mary's (College of Maryland) Jazz band?
George,
You are not the only one who does not like the 'stinger'. Of course if I owned this lovely bass with the coco bolo to to die for, I would learn to love it.
I am also not a big fan of the stinger. But other than that it looks like a beautiful bass.
The last few steps approach:

I have a Mark King Bass right now in the making with the same body design. I'm curious to know how your bass feels with playability, balance and how you like the stinger point.
