And the "Swirly" Coco Bolo top:

It's a little hard to see in photos yet, but the grain on the horns looks really cool and the large swirl on the body has a nice cluster of burl figure.
Moving right along, here's the body getting glued to the neck:

Also the peghead - it's a really cool piece of wood:

Next stop, carving!
Will this one truly Scream? Very Munchy!
Some carving, including the Heart Omega is finished now:

and just the body, so you can see how pretty it turned out:

I like the neck lam combination!
I like the whole thing!
Almost makes me want to play guitar.

While I was gone, Bob sprayed darn near most of the finish, and Peter did the inlays and the fretting:

With the finish, the wood looks even more amazing.
Wow, the coco bolo itself is great, but what really strikes me is how perfectly the neck laminate combination goes with it! Great choices.

Really nice guitar! Love the heart inlay!

James put a nice little detail in the rubout on the back of the neck, hope you can see it in the photo:

I love it!
What woods were used for the neck laminates?
Hi Michael,
the woods are: maple/purpleheart/maple veneer/vermillion/maple veneer/purpleheart/maple
That's standard on a Darling.

Cassie also loves it! She received it last Sunday for a birthday present.
