While this is a Series II, Thomas set the precedent by posting pictures of younger brother in the Europa section. Since they've all ready been apart for a while, I couldn't bear keeping them broken up. Here's the four string version of Almost Twins:

What a simply outstanding bass you have there! I bet this bass is a killer for a four-string! Truthfully, I contacted Kevin to buy the four, but he did not want to let it go and offered me the five, instead. I love the five-string, so I am not insanely envious . . . I bet it looks and sounds outrageous in person. Quilted maple is definitely one of my favorite substances found on this planet. I KNOW you are enjoying this bass, as what's not to enjoy?! I keep wondering when and if the fretless one will show up.
Oh, I should have posted this before, but I bought a polishing cloth for gold, as Mica suggested a while back, and it does seem to take the film off the bridge and other parts with some repetitive action. Pretty thick coat built up over the years, I guess. Just FYI.
That's another of my favourite Alembics.

It has a very different sound than my others, which aren't series electronics. Thanks for the tip about the polishing cloth for gold, Thomas. I'll check into it.

WOW!
Nice pictures
Beauty! The Europa design is my favorite!
Stunning! This or an Elan body would be a toss up for me,but this is very close to what I would have built.
YES !!!!!!
One correction: when at the factory this summer, Mica told me the knobs were actually made by her uncle.
