Ha ha, agreed. That Ibanez was my first bass, an ibanez soundgear GSR 200. Right from that I moved to my spoiler! I knew from the moment I decided I wanted to play the bass I wanted an Alembic. When I walked in to buy my first bass, there it was; a japanese model distillate. One PU, brass front plate, purpleheart lams. I wanted it so bad but I didn't have the money. 1100 marked down from 1700 at GC. But that other bass I got was great! A good beginner bass for sure and even at $250 new I was sad to part with it ;)
