The store had it advertised as a SC but the electronics are Distillate. I don't have to change my forum name.
Nice! That's a Deluxe Distillate with the the back laminate :-) (If it had signature electronics it would be signature deluxe with the back lam and Purpleheart in the neck)
Nice birdseye maple there too. Congratulations & Compliments.
Congratulations, that's very nice.
That's beautiful. I love the birdseye. How is the scale working out for you?
Very nice, love the Birdseye maple, congratulations! 😊

Well. I need to get used to the extra tones. I used it in band practice tonight. It took then a couple double takes to realize it wasn't the single pickup Distillate. Thanks to all the comments.
Love it! What's the scale length?

I'm not sure exactely. I have a metric tape ruler. From what part do I measure? The nut to the bridge or the end of the neck? I know it's shorter than the one pickup distillate.
Measure from the nut till the 12th fret and double that. In MM I guess it will be about 390,5 mm (x2 = 781mm) which would be short scale.

390,5. Short scale it is. Good thing. I just ordered a set of CX-3/45s from the Shibuya Ikeba shop. I think it had D'Adarios on it. I changed those to some older Rotosound 66 that I pulled off my Yamaha Motion B. I like them but I worry about fret wear.
Thanks for checking and enjoy that beauty!
I put the Alembic strings on. I like how the blue wrap lines up.
I used the bass on this song. It's for a contest. The vocals were provided. I did the DAW programming, Bass and Guitars. https://soundcloud.com/matt-peterson-479435471/monster-inc-natali-noor?si=ea05c4b3ac6e4bb8b5550647108ed663&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing
That sounds great!
I played live yesterday for the first time with this Distillate. It was fun but I noticed people commented more on the bass than my playing.

Pretty much raw out of the PA.
Sounds great, Matt. 8)
Yes to all of that.
Love the Prog rock feel and the big ending!
In action again last night.
With sound.

Cool! Love a 3 piece. I'm going to guess that your drummer is left handed? He plays pretty much entirely open grip, and even has a ride cymbal on the left side.
Love the mix, that bass tone is great!

He's not. That's his idiosyncrasy. I remember asking why he plays that way back in the 90s. I forgot his reason. I'll ask again.
In the studio the other week. Toyoji just got the new Char burgundy Strat. It sounds great but he likes a higher action than I prefer. The placement of the iPhone seems to be favoring the drums and bass.

Hanging it lower than usual. Is this allowed?
