Hi gang!
I saw a recent DVD from the Doobie Bros recently and I was really blown away! I always loved that band since I was playing their records (remember ....the black round plates with a hole in the middle ...???huh???) on our attic at home.
On the DVD you can see Skylark for a short while playing an Alembic (for the rest of the show he seemed to play Lakland).
But (ooo that but) I found this picture:

Skylark WITH his Alembic!
I don't know his real name but he is a fabulous player AND singer and doing both at the same time!!!!

Hey Paul, finally found some time to join in again? Good to hear from you.
Yes, I remember those shiny black round vinyl music carriers. Three weeks ago I loaded 30 CDs into my Zen player, which sits in my breast pocket, and 30 CDs is roughly 50 LPs ... What has the world come to.
I've seen the Doobie's several times, although it's been at least 5 years since the last time, and Skylark played and Alembic every time.
And you're right he's a great player. Very energetic too.
Don't forget, Skylark's predecessor (http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=8228) also played Alembic.

Has anyone noticed Mr.Porter also with his alembic bass.
Chuck
chuck.
Look up one post to see a link to tirans (http://club.alembicguitars.net/index.php?topic=8228) entry in the showcase.

Of course I was expecting to see an Alembic Skylark. This Skylark is just alright with me.
