hi, i was looking some Stanley Clarke video and i'm very interrested to know what sort of strings he 's using, is it extra light set (30-90)?
Hi Teo and welcome, about what bass, what year, what gig are you speaking ?
From about 18 years I think, Stanley use only ADGC tuning and I suppose he use 0.80, 0.65, 0.45, 0.30
as I use for my tenor basses.
If you see some RTF concert, he use normal bass with EADG but I don't now the gauge, certainly the same 100/80/65/45

is it his tenor bass, Stanley has great finger's attack ;o)
He used to endorse RotoSound
I recently obtained an endorser's account with DR. They told me Stanley is using their strings now. Another great family company.
Welcome aboard, Danno! In fact, there's a link to Alembic, albeit perhaps a bit tenuous. The D in DR is Dronge, as in Guild guitars, who built some of the first instruments that Alembic modified.
I love the Sunbeams!
i suppose it's cause of short scale maybe give less tension to the strings ?
great clip, that's the most energy i've ever seen the late show band put into a performance.
