the other night i was at my usual tuesday jam session, and I had brought along my S1 like i usually do, but I also brought along my 72 jazz bass since it had just been sitting in its case for the past 6 months and was probably a little lonely...
After one tune with the jazz bass, I was ready to switch back to my alembic when i was asked to keep it out and play the rest of the night with it...fine with me, since I do like it and hadnt played it for awhile..
The next day I went to get my series one from the case, and to my surprise the pickup selector switch was missing! Pretty strange considering it had not felt loose recently, and that I had only taken the bass out the night before to tune it up than I put it back....it was out for about 3 minutes max....
Maybe she was jealous because I played the jazz bass all night and decided to punish me by making me pay sixteen bucks for a new switch!!!!
By the way, the jazz bass did sound awesome....but dont tell my alembic I said that!
heh heh..interesting!
I too have an S1 and a reissue Jazz, but my J has Alembic Activators...so all is good in the world
you can get another stock knob from the good folks at Alembic.
So, someone says no, don't take out your Alembic, leave it in the case and play your Fender all night. Then, when you get home and open your Alembic case, a knob, which you are sure had been there the last time you played it, is missing. Sounds a little suspicious to me.
Bill, tgo
yeah....none of these guys would want to steal it if thats what your implying, and i just got an email saying it was found (after ive ordered a new one already though)....
But its just pretty freakin weird...
Go ahead and send the knob back back, Greg. I mailed it yesterday, but didn't charge your card yet. Glad to hear your original was recovered.
Thanks Mica....I found out this morning it was found, I tried calling you guys right away to cancel the order....No worries, I'll send it back to you once I get it..
