The patches (http://alembic.stores.yahoo.net/smalllogopatch.html) are AMAZING, I couldn't be happier with the result. These iron-on patches are much smaller than the original patches, with 100% embroidery coverage. At 2.25" x 2.5" they will fit nicely on a guitar strap (or on a hat, which will be arriving by the end of the month!).
The new sticker is called "Light Touch (http://alembic.stores.yahoo.net/litost2.html)" and is a 4" x 4" white vinyl with UV coating, so it's supposed to be good for outdoor use as well. The rounded corners won't lift easily when handling if you decorate your case with it. I created the design digitally, but meant to emulate a light brush stroke and be a play on words. Hope you like it!
In 2-3 weeks I'll be adding trucker hats and baseball caps with the embroidered patch and a new T-shirt design!
Well it won't let me make a free shipping coupon for selected items. So that's a bummer. A little more complicated, but just put your club member name in the comments section of the order and I'll back out the freight for US shipments. For export, I can knock off a little bit. Sorry it isn't quite as easy as I hoped!

Very nice Mica! For the iron-on patches what surfaces will they adhere best too? Thinking about ironing it to either the Dual-layer neoprene or faux leather on one of my straps.

The suggestion is not to use on synthetic fabrics. This is the text the manufacturer supplied regarding this issue:
"Heat seal doesn't work with nylon and other synthetic fabrics that can be damaged by the high heat for iron-on. It's best to sew the patch on synthetic fabrics."

Early tomorrow morning I'm going to the press check for my new T-shirt design. I tend to get picky about things, so I'm not exactly sure what color the inks will be. The shirt is a charcoal heather grey color, and I'm thinking the inks will be not quite black and a lighter grey, but I'm not exactly sure of the shades. Here's a preview of the mock up I made for the project. This shirt is called "The Darkness" because not every day is a rainbow day. It will have the Alembic script across the back shoulders as usual.
Sharing now because I can't quite contain my excitement. I'll post pictures of the actual shirts just as soon as I can (should be tomorrow!)

As a caveat, I very seldom wear clothing with a company logo. For Alembic I will make an exception. It's you guys and Helens Sausage House here in Smyrna, DE.
I have news! Darkness T-shirts will be here on Monday. They weren't quite finished folding and bagging the shirts today, but I brought a sample back to the shop with me. I'm super happy with the results, but I can't put them up for sale until next week because the one they handed to me all folded up was one of the few long-sleeve ones I got as a test run. Depending on interest I will get them reprinted, but for now, here's a look at the real shirts. I just wish I could capture the mood better with my photos.
The shirt is a charcoal grey Hanes Beefy-T and the imprint is 2 colors: a dark, almost black and a cement grey.
Maybe by Monday I'll figure out how to take better pictures!

Just a quick update - we sent out loads of shirts this week. Been a blast seeing the dark clouds flying all over the place.
Long sleeve shirts will be a thing with the ALEMBIC print down the right arm. From the sample run of long sleeve I only have 3 small and 2 mediums left with the ALEMBIC print across the shoulders. If you want one of them, they are $31 Club price - just send me an email to reserve. Retail for the long sleeve main run is going to be $39 and I expect them in about three weeks, maybe just after the new hats get here.

WOW $13 to send a patch and 3 pack stickers to Canada , so after conversion thats like $40 for a patch and 3 stickers . That sucks !!! I hate currency exchange . Would have been nice to buy :(
It's so annoying, Scott. The store platform doesn't have a good calculator for export airmail, and always screws it up. I put a little note on each product page that's small, like the patches that says "We will ship this item by first class mail and adjust the shipping charges accordingly. Don't worry, we're not going to charge you $10 to ship a $9 patch. Shipping weight is 2 ounces."
So basically we ask you to trust us to not charge you the approved amount on your Paypal or credit card but we'll reduce the transaction to the actual postage price.
However, checking Canada, they have very strict postal regulations, and we aren't allowed to send anything with a value over $0 in a first class envelope (which would only be $3.33 in postage), it must be in a box, so the postage is actually $10.
The worst thing to mail internationally is the polish because liquids are heavy. I would say guitars are worse to mail internationally, but we never trust an instrument tot he postal service.
I got a picture today from the shop that sews the patches on the hats - the first one was done today. This is the trucker's hat in charcoal front and bill with black mesh back. The baseball caps are all black. Both have the Alembic name embroidered on the back in white thread.
We thought the hats were going to be here next week, but it looks like we might get them early. I will of course keep the club posted when they are ready to ship.
I'm in for a baseball cap. :D

Those are probably UPS rates. Airmail calculates at $23.50. If you place a store order we will only capture the funds for the merchandise and the actual postage, even if it's authorized for more because of the way the store calculates shipping. In the rare event that we overlook this and process the whole transaction, we'll always refund if something slips through the cracks.

The Darkness T-shirts are so much softer and more comfortable than the previous versions of the tshirts I have.
Still waiting for denim button up shirts. Mine is doesn't have much life left before holes start showing up around the pocket corners. :'(

These Darkness stickers are silkscreened on vinyl in black and a steely-blue gray color and die cut.

That will likely happen in about 2 months - I just sent the artwork off tot he stitchers for a sample :)
And to answer an earlier question, I finally finished the artwork for the sleeve of the Darkness long sleeve shirts, and so I sent that off to the printer today. Should be about 3-4 weeks until they get the shirts and print them here in town. Exciting stuff!

I'll share this story: the other day I was in the drugstore... happened to be on the way to see Hot Tuna, so I had worn my black shirt with the slightly smaller full-color logo, you know... on the outside chance I got a minute to lobby Jack on the virtues of Alembics vs. Epiphones. Didn't happen by the way... but practically everybody I ran into all evening commented about that colorful shirt.
It definitely gets noticed faster than The Darkness, but for now I'm diggin' the subtle/covert style. 8)

These are in the store now (http://bit.ly/AlembicPin), but of course the postage is all screwy. If you're in the US, the total charged for the pin is $12 including postage. It will ask you for more, but we won't process it for the higher amount. For export orders, we will calculate the postage for you and email you the amount.

I do too. I have an Alembic Moody for my Starfire, a regular Moody 4" for my Modulus 6 string, and a thinner one for a Tele. I've tried a bunch of different straps and these are the ones that really do it for me.
