Since I am really enjoying my SII short scale I was starting to lust for a fretless companion for her. 1.5" nut width required. I have been considering going the de-fret route if the right bass would present itself.


Are there any wood choices that compliment the fretless tone more favorably?


Appreciate any pointers.
