$800 seems a tad high to me, especially being that old (unless you want it more "vintage-y)
I bought mine from a friend on the board here for a bit under $600. Trevor was very benevolent.

Ya saw that today. It's got holes drilled in the back (more cosmetic than anything, but still...) and something about not original tubes. Also listed under "ships to continental US", so they may not want to ship it to Canada. Thanks anyways.

Found a second hand mint F-1X instead. All good now.

The tubes this comes with are awesome. I would consider that a good upgrade, especially considering how much they go for these days. NOS 5751s are getting spendy. They are much quieter and less distortion than any 12AX7. I had them in my F2B until someone gifted me a pair of Bugle Boy 12AX7s.
