Anyone got an old essence or epic that they would possibly be willing to get rid of? I also fancy distillates, orions, and rogues, but they seem a bit out of my price range. Im mainly looking for a good bass to have around so i can get some recording done. I love playing guitar, but I want to delve into the low end for once.

fretted or fretless

I have an Epic 6 that has the coolest imperfection @ the 12th fret that looks like a dragonfly.  It looks like it was done purposefully, but its an imperfection.  It has a Zebra Wood Top, Mahogany Body, Maple neck, and is a 34 scale.  It is 2.5 wide @ the nut, and 3.5 @ the 24th fret.  I'm looking to get about $2800 for it, mostly because I don't want to sell it, and it is in great condition.
