Hello,
I'm looking for a selector 4 positions (the one with the pointed knob) for a distilate bass from 1983

sonicus

I would call Alembic for a new correct part.

uonra

Yes but I'm in Belgium .... if Idon't find one I will do it...

sonicus

You can contact Mica via email or call via phone to buy the correct part  from Alembic. That is what I would do .

Or you could contact Edwin van Huik in Hilversum, NL: http://www.connectionbult.com/startinfo.html
Still abroad, of course, but a lot closer than Santa Rosa!

Claude,
The switch is a Grayhill 4 position switch.

You can buy it through Alembic pre-wired, last one I got (I'm on # 3!)was $75 US back in 2005.

My 84 Distillate has resistors jumpered into the poles on the bottom. I would strongly recommend the pre-wired switch unless you know someone with mad skills on the soldering iron.

Mike Monsalve

I just did this a few weeks ago.  I broke my switch, got a new one from Grayhill, determined the resistor values and BOOM, it works.

Yet ... eh hmmm .. years as a component level Electronic Repair Technician has given me mad soldering skills.

pauldo

Mad skills are good - wish I had them!
