Is there such a thing as low profile versions of the standard alembic knobs?
My short scale SII could do with a low profile master volume knob as it gets in the way for slapping.

Let me see what we can come up with for you. We don't stock anything like that. Are you looking to go with the hat knobs or the collet knobs?

jazzyvee

Thanks Mica, my bass has the collet knobs.

So the standard collet knobs are 14.5mm diameter with a 17mm height (excluding the skirt and the cap). There is  10mm diameter with a 14mm height, and a 9mm diameter with a 12mm height available. Do either of those alternatives seem appealing to you?

Hi Mica, thanks for those sizes and just wondering if that height difference of 5mm and wondering if that would make a significant difference. It's hard to tell. Could I order both of those smaller sized knobs and also round "C" style pickup selector please.

Actually I looked at those shorter options more closely, and they only go up to a 1/8" shaft, so sadly they won't work for the master volume control. Sorry. Back to the drawing board... Maybe something from THG knobs?

jazzyvee

Ok thanks mica, having custom knobs made was my next option.
