Hello-

So I have been saving my pennies and all I really want is a 4 string Series bass... but now I can't find one!  It would be great to find a newer near mint Series II (maybe that goes without saying) but in general I would like a great 32 scale Series bass in excellent to mint shape.  Ideally, a 4 string Europa with Series II electronics and a 32 scale fretboard would be my dream bass, but I can't quite afford to build one new, so...  I do have a mint 4 string '91 Europa that I would possibly be able to trade if someone is interested, but I would rather hold on to it if I could.

Thanks,

Andy

Edwin van Huik has Series II medium scale for sale. Price might be a little hefty at 6995 euro, but you can probably re-claim the VAT from Dutch customs.

Hi Andy,

Let me know what you find. I have also been looking for a year or two for a series one, including being next to the last bid on EBay once or twice and missing out on the Alembic site 'for sale' ads a time or two. It seems like a real challenge to find one.

Thanks Hilmar, looks really nice, but I am holding out for a newer model Series I or II with either a Europa or Rogue body style (or something with a longer upper horn) and 32 scale...  Good luck though!

I do still have my mint '91 Europa available for part trade and I am saving up for a new Series bass, in case anyone is reading this...  I would love to find a newer used Series in excellent shape with the spec's I listed above, but if it doesn't happen in the next few months then I will just order a new one.

Thanks,

Andy
