Looking for a vintage 6 string Alembic guitar for a low price. Any thoughts?

Curious about what the serial number is on this one. KR and I both have basses from very early in '77 that share some features with your new arrival... doesn't always mean much, but interesting to meet 'sister' instruments. Please post us some pictures when you can.

I'll let you know as soon as the guitar gets to me. It's been in Paris at Charles De Gaulle airport for the last five days, but I think it departed there tonight (fingers crossed).

Just received the guitar from Italy.

It is gorgeous, much more beautiful than any of the pics let on.

Serial is 77 611 (on top end of headstock)

I will take and post some pics in next couple of days. Happy 420!

Here's another trivial thing; your new-to-you Alembic guitar may well be the very first serial number issued in 1977. My little rusty file cabinet previously only shows one number newer than yours #77-613.


#77-621 is in my care, so these are of particular interest.
