I had a some FretFX after market side LEDs on the side of my orion bass, but they have become brittle over time and so i removed them earlier today.
I wondered what product can i use to remove the glue residue on the side of the fretboard and also how to remove the double sided sticky pad that fixes the battery holder to the back of the headstock.

If you have polyester finish on your bass, you can use acetone to remove the adhesive. Various oils are also effective as loosening adhesives, so if you're ready to oil your fingerboard anyway, go for it.

Thanks Mica. Not sure where to buy acetone. Isn't it what nail varnish remover is?

Yes, or "nail polish remover" as we'd call it here in the states.

Also handy if you accidentally superglue your fingers together.

Lemon oil should work on removing the residual adhesive.
