What is the best way to clean our beloved instruments ? Since I do not know precisely the types of finish used on my 2 Alembic, I thought it was a good idea to post here before doing mistakes.
 
I always cleaned my guitars after playing sessions with a slighly wet cloth. It was for me the best way to keep them in good shape.  
 
I recently purchased an used EPIC 4 from 1996 and I found that the back of the neck was quite sticky even after a wet cloth wash. I even tried to use soap to remove the greasy parts.  
Still sticky...
 
I hope there is no problem with the finish.  
 
What would be the best way to get a smooth a,d clean finish ?
 
More generally, any tips to clean my 2 Alembic (fretboard, neck, HS, body...etc..) ?

Finish Care and  Oiling your Fingerboard should help with your questions.  There are also many other helpful tips in the main thread .
