I've had my Signature Deluxe 5-er for several years, been playing it exclusively, and always noticed a very slight buzzing on the E string when playing that F note.  While lemon oiling the neck last night, with all the strings off, I decided to try raising the nut JUST a HAIR on the bass side only.  What a difference!  Clean as a whistle notes on the E string, and now it smells good, too!  (Lemon Oil, remember?)  What a bass...!

The  Alembic Inc.  system of the adjustable nut really opened my eyes ( and ears ) as to how well that you can dial in a perfect fit . I love it too .
