I wouldn't call the edge of the epoxy sharp—as in razor sharp—but it has a distinct edge and is not rounded off. It looks neat and clean against the brass nut.
I am actually going to try out a black Tusq nut with a slightly tighter string spacing to see if I can get a little more relief for my short little fingers. Might even look cool against the dark shiny fingerboard.
