Radiating flame pattern that reminds me of a piece of satin material.   0-10.8 x 16.5-23.5 x 1.5

Detail with acetone puddle.

OK, so maybe I'm not dreaming in coco bolo after all!  WOW!  And there is definitely a woman's head directly below the number tape.

Striking, and a little spooky, too....
(a person's head for sure; was there a murder/suicide near this tree at any time???)
Correction: there is 'much' money to be made above the fifth fret....

What this guy?

I believe it's just a wood nymph that will disappear after some sandpaper hits him.  It's a Series II, and all that is good...

No, look just below the tape with the number.

It's a Series II... - are congratulations in order?

I see it. If this gets out, there will be a line of people lighting candles at the door of Alembic.  I remember when a water drip on a bridge wall in Chicago shut down the street because of an iconic image or shadow, people were camped out on the street for days... Maybe Alembic should sell this piece of wood on EBay!

Alas, I see no Series bass in my future.  Some other lucky person gets this prize.

One bookmatch from this board is on reserve.

The lower left corner looks kind of like the crow on Wake Of the Flood. His eye is just next to the tiny knot, and his beak is open down toward the left with his tongue showing as well (my son noticed this).

Oh wow Mike, I totally see that!!  Your son must have an active imagination.  That's almost like seeing Jerry in the clouds (from experience)
The only thing that stays the same is change.

OK, I check back here every now and then just to drool, because this is perhaps the most amazing wood I've seen, and today I finally managed to see the crow Mike's son saw.......
