Thanks, the idea is a nice thought, however i wouldn't like to take a drill to my lovely bass. I was just curious. when I first got mine almost 2 yrs ago now I did notice neck dive a lot. Now i have more or less got used to adjusting it as I play so like you I don't notice it that much.  
Lovely looking instrument though.
