Sometimes, the indirect method works best. Follow the Yellow Brick Link to my Yahoo! photo album and two simple but satisfying pics of my bass-to-be.
It's an '80 short-scale Series II with graphite neck and trimmed in koa.

AAAARGH!
I am SO sorry. I'll be e-mailing pics to poor_nigel, who has very kindly offered to re-size and post my pics.
Again, my sincere apologies for the continual complications. I'm not a tease, honest...

No, You're a tease.  No use denying it now!

Keavin, switch to Guinness and you'll only need 15.  And then you won't even care anymore.

well worth waiting for!

is that a walnut neck with maple framing veneers?  the koa top is beautiful, and the instrument appears to be in mint condition

congratulations!  best of luck with it

Thanks, all, esp. poor_nigel. I've been lucky enough to own two Alembics in the past, and foolish enough to sell or trade them both.
Once this one arrives, it ain't gettin' away.

What a gem of a bass.  I am especially interested in hearing how the neck is.  In northern Maine the thought of a graphite neck that ignores humidity and the cold is very enticing, indeed.  Yep, I would certainly hold on tight to this bass if it were mine.

Do give us the whole story when it arrives.  I want to know how it performs and sounds.  And I do really like its case.  I have never seen one built with a lid like that.  What kind is it?
