Oh my goodness you have a Ampeg's SVT-2 Pro's heads.
Greg, that's a very stellar amp. An excellent choice -- along with your other pieces.

Packing a punch!

Thanks Hal!

But you are not far back!!!

Greg

gregduboc

Thanks again Hal!
I wish you a great christmas as well! I would send you a card, but I can't do all that fancy artwork stuff!

Greg, showing your beautiful bass, was my thanks to you my friend.

I am on vacation, enjoying the vibes where I can, and your bass came to the forefront again with great delight.

Yeah, it was a great feeling to see those pictures of your beautiful countryside as well. All I could imagine was the texture of a oil painting along with music by Stan Getz and Astrud Gilberto I can hear in the distances.

BTW, what kind of camera did you use while taking those wonderful photos?

gregduboc

I have a Leica C-Lux 3. It is the best point and shoot camera ever, in my opinion.
Simple to use, very compact, perfect photos with just the right amount of colors...
I don't like Sony like cameras. They force the colors too much.... Leica makes them much more natural, capturing the details much better

Although I'm shure this Triple Omega can be even more beautifull in person, doesn't it?
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

the_jester

I own a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3.

If I had a choice between both cameras (yours and mine) in terms of the desired factor of a 10.1 mega-pixel (which they both are...) I would only take the flip of a coin.

I purchased my camera from overseas months ahead before they'd entered the US. Taking pictures, has always been one of my hobbies. I just love this camera.

Greg, you might had already provided this answer but what color are your LED's?

gregduboc

Mario, yes it is!
And Hal, the answer is RED!

Greg

mario_farufyno

Do you have other LED lighted Basses?

Hal, you are asking everyone on site about their LED colors, wich one seems to be softer? I mean, this is something I've been seriously thinking about, but wanted something more dimmed and subtle than a xmas tree...
Not just a bass, this is an Alembic!

the_jester

Hi Mario, frankly -- the first time I ever-seen LED's, was in 1986, on Stanley Clarke's Alembic; in a small club in San Francisco. I seen Red LED's along the sides of the neck of his bass, and I was marveled by the idea for the first time.

Funny, now every time I see LED's on basses, it brings a good memory of me watching Stanley play his soul off in the dark.

Peace and Love

Hey there everyone...
I have some news to share. This bass is not mine anymore. After a couple of months I realized that this bass belonged to someone else. It was just too heavy and too big for me. It has a killer sound, no doubt, but I just wasn?t fully confortable with it.
I met with Abidu, another Brazilian member of the club, who saw my bass and said would do anything for it! Abidu has an unbelievable collection of basses, and I understood that he would take good care of this beast. So we exchanged some basses.
From the ones I got, the one that matters here is an Alembic Expoiter with Spoiler guts, which I loved the moment I strapped it in.
Now my collection consists of The Exploiter and the Stanley Clarke Deluxe. Nothing to complain about!
So, this baby here has a new home. And a very very good new dad. Take good care of her Abidu!!

Enzo

Well well, at least you tried it and had a personal experience. That's the best way to see it you're made for each other .

Just for curiosity, how many lbs it weighs ?

gregduboc

Enzo, honestly, I never weighted it with precision...
I will ask Abidu to find it out for us!

Indeed, I really tried, but man, the Stanley Clarke is such a better match...
She just might be the one!!
