The bass is in great condition, beautiful Birdseye maple top and back with macassar ebony fretboard. Beautiful craftsmanship!

Rob- you sir, have excellent taste. Glad to have had a hand in that one!  ;D. (it was my heads-up, yes?)

rv_bass

Yes, Greg, thanks for the tip! I am now in good company :)

That is one very nice bass. I love the body shape in comparison to the standard point I have.

rv_bass

Thanks, Hammer, I like the shape too. I haven't seen a lot of Omegas from the 70s, seems to me that standard point was more common then. Looking forward to seeing your new fretless!

What a nice looking bass, Rob. There's something about it that makes me keep coming back to take another peek at the pictures!
Enjoy!

Thanks, Rob.  For me, the third photo is iconic and evokes fond memories of the mid-late 70s. :)

Indeed, a birdseye maple topped Alembic with an Omega-cut body... that is *the* image for me too. I've later come to appreciate other shapes and patterns, but that's the one. Lots of "Chain-Links" DNA shared with that bass of yours. ;)

Not sure what I could add, except to just agree, wholeheartedly. Bass of my dreams, right there.  8)
