Uhm... is that quote the retail replacement quote?  In other words, should I insure it for that amount... or for 75% of that amount -based on the assumption I'd get a 25% dealer discount if -gasp- it were ever necessary to replace it?

Oh, I'd also appreciate a similar quote BEFORE the 6-string is ready for shipping, so I can get both properly ensured BEFORE that point.  And I may come and get the 6-String, if we have the time.

The replcement value is based on the published retail prices. Most insurance agents will advise you to insure the the full value, since you don't know what kind of deal will be available in the future. But you should really discuss this with your agent.
