Hello

I bought this Persuader 2 years ago in Thailand, brought it in Switzerland and now in Canada.

The day I bought it, it was stored in a very humid place and the fingerboard was looking like a rotten root (not kidding).

Now it looks fine but I think the neck has suffered. Is there a way to fix it?

I'm using this bass at this time and it sounds great but I can't lower the strings without having a buzz on the D fret on the G string side (I tune my basses since 1999).

And do you have any history for this bass?

Thank you

Hey there, welcome to the club!

If you can try to post pics on the showcase section - there arent enough Persuaders hanging out there

Hi Alex,

Found the file for your bass. Besides the build record, there is no other ownership history for this instrument.

top: Walnut
body: Mahogany
through-body neck: 3-piece Maple, 32 medium scale
fingerboard: Ebony with pearloid inlays
pickups: Alembic PJZ
controls: 2 vol 1 filter, mono output
birthday: April 22, 1988
originally made for: KCM Thailand

If you have one fret that is causing a buzz, then it's likely limited to a fret being too high. From your description of the fingerboard, it sounds likely that a fret could be too high with the board swelled up from humidity.

Thank you for the information! I was just running through some old posts of mine and saw your reply (5 years later!).

So basically it was made for a Thai TV channel of some sort? Tried to google it but ended up watching some weird music videos...

Here are the last pictures I had from the bass before selling it to a private customer in May 2011.
