I just happened to remember; serial number 2001, (immediately preceding this one) was issued in 1978. Probably by request, perhaps as a nod to the movie. One wonders if there is another instrument bearing #2001...? Well, probably nobody but me is wondering that.


81-2002 here should be sequenced very late in 1981. I'll guess right before Christmas.
