The second link looks very similar to the pink ivory topped Mark King which was a December 2001 Custom of the Month

If you ever play this body you'd like it too. In fact Adam if you want I'll bring with me in July when you come to Dallas, (if I have it by then)

The top one is snakewood and the bottom one is indeed pink ivory and as noted above it is the December 2001 featured custom.
 
As I recall, Mica told me the owner supplied the woods for these basses.
Actually, I think it's encouraging that the seller is directing folks to Alembic. Mica should be able to tell you if anything does not add up.
