I invited the seller to join us here. Very interesting bass.

The bridge looks a little unusual, perhaps not original?  Great story in the listing.  Well worth the read.  Here's a sample that might be appreciated around here:

...legend has it that this bass was originally commissioned by the late great John Entwistle of The Who, but was never paid for or picked up when it was finished. On a visit to the Santa Rosa factory in 1978 my Dad just happened to be in the mood for a new bass. I was there by the way, at 4 years of age. I remember the factory and the smell of the wood but not much else. To this day I still have a small block of 7 piece wood laminate that the owners wife let me keep as a souvineer!

Sound familiar?

that's a nice looking bass. i'd like to have that myself! what's going on with that bridge/tailpiece though? i'm sure it's not original(?)

Perhaps a Kahler whammy?

elwoodblue

...that's what I was thinking,
...where's that picture of Stanley's basses on the inner record sleeve? ...maybe that was more bigsby like.

That's a looker and I expect some decent eBay activity on this.  Should at least get into the $3K's, I suspect.

I am very interested last photo on eBay.
It is Fan head 5 strings, isn't it !?

The neck is dark color and body is bright just like maple wood.
Anyone knows more info about it ???

Could be Fan shape, could be Knobby shape (which IIRC is a variation on the Fan shape).
