I've been watching this one. So far I've found no information anywhere about a Dobro E3 electric.  Those don't look like neck lams to me, rather they look like decals or paint - purely cosmetic - though I agree it looks cool.  The price, however, is quickly heading north of reasonable absent any further info on this guitar.

I was expecting to see lbesq as the high bidder on this one!

The winning bid was $1,160.00.

I wonder where it was actuall built?

I hope I can get that much for my Electrum!

Eugene:

I'd give you that much for an Electrum in a heartbeat.  I've seen Electrums go on ebay for almost double that.

Here's one that shows the lams.
...I can see why they were produced in low numbers.

I know its not an Alembic; nice walnut, wouldn't mind a master volume...e. Carl bass

That E Carl bass is magnificent!!

I did a bit of searching and E. Carl has no website and endorses only one person, 8 year old prodigy Tallan T-Man Latz.
So, I wonder if it is a Warmoth or other kit bass? Of course, that is just conjecture.
But Warmoth does make some gorgeous tops for their guitars.

I checked his other auctions and it seems he and maybe a friend are producing some handmade basses and guitars...there's an interesting fretless here...if ya put a bird tailpiece on her the lines would really work.
