go a 4-stringer maple body essence at a guit@r shop nearby that's almost in the bag.  i like this one but i'm leary of on-line sales these days.

leaning pretty heavily toward a snappy-sounding bar-hopper for my last bass purchase but i still haven't ruled out one of the museum pieces currently up for sale yet.
