Yep, that bass was discussed elsewhere, and I think it came up here in a post or two.
Great score if you paid less than the opening bid, methinks, and especially if the weight was described accurately.

yeah I paid a lot less than they were asking.

Freakin' awesome, man. I was seriously thinking about selling a kidney to the Russian mafia but that 34 scale made me nervous...ever played a full-scale Alembic? When tuning the A string you might bump your hand into a military satellite, so be sure to stretch first.

Yeah man all but one of my Alembics are 34 scale. But I appreciate the advice.

great score, especially if you were able to get it for less than the opening bid (IMHO).  were you able to inspect it first?  hopefully you'll post some pictures when you get it?

I did not get to inspect it. But my dude at GC always takes care of me.
