Maybe Alembic should do a magnetic output jack like the power cord on Apple Macbooks.

That headstock would have me worried if I won. Good luck to whoever wins. Post progress pictures if you can.

Well it's already past what I wanted to give for it, to much for the rest of the amount of money that would need to be put into it

Me too Taylor...I'm not going to bid any more bread.
I'll continue to save and look for a 5 string series bass, which is what I really want anyway.

Any bets on how high this one will go?

Over or under the $500 mark?

Over or under the $750 mark?

$1,000 plus???????

elwoodblue

I'm guessing 600-800 .
It would be nice to see the neck without paint, to see just how bad of a hit the headstock took.
Bidders will be taking a bit of a gamble unless they plan to have it redone at the mothership.

I just sanded many coats of paint off of a '75 SG I bought a while back and  found a poorly fixed headstock repair.

keavin

the fact there's no serial number listed & a paint cover-up job..........this one could be a long lost stolen alembic!

it hit the $500 mark with almost five days to go

sonicus

This poor injured Bass needs  a nice home and then sent to the Alembic Hospital . Well  less then 6 hours to go and the temperature is rising . I promise not to bid on this one . Happy bidding  to all participants !

$625 final bid and selling price

ajdover

I bid $500, which I considered a fair price given the condition and repairs needed.  Good luck to the winner - if it were me I'd have the seller ship it direct to the mothership for an evaluation and eventual repair.
